Rick Parnell walks the road less traveled, sidelining an enviable corporate career to explore folk/rock roots. His is an original voice, with intriguing lyrics in the tradition of Dylan, Leonard Cohen and Donovan, with some Lennon, Nillson, Harrison and even Johnny Cash mixed in for good measure. Inspired by these musical heroes, Rick’s own music is textured and nuanced, blending a mid-lifetime’s experience with a youthful, poetic soul.
The core band line-up consists of Rick Parnell on rhythm and vocals, Hart Parnell on lead guitar, Ian Lopez-Ganoza on bass and backing vocals and Terry Martyniuk on percussion, with guest musicians joining in to fit the event or the venue.
